started when my first parrot died. I was around six years old so my parents decided not to tell me the truth. Instead they announced me that the parrot was in the animal hospital and quickly replaced him with a similar one.
The bird they found was a bit different than mine so they had to improvise a bit more by telling me that my poor parrot had cancer so he had to go through chemotherapy. Then he lost all his feathers and they grew all back again a week ago so that’s why he looked a bit altered.
In total the repeated the same story around 6 times. Parrots came and left in our house but I kept the illusion that was the same one.
Every time something changed in the behavior of the bird so I had to train him all over again to sit on my shoulder, to eat from my hand, talk a bit and but that did not seemed weird in my eyes because my parrot had suffered from a lot of diseases and syndromes in the past.
So parrots will always remain an animal of mystery in my eyes and there is nothing I can do to change that.
